Welcome to the Kaiser Expansion Neighborhood Impact Coalition Website. This site is intended for use in communicating the suggestions and positions of neighbors who live around the Kaiser Permanente Expansion project.
8/8/2007:
Kaiser Permanente currently has a Master Sign Plan application before the city for 58+ signs, many of them 8 feet tall (or more) internally lit plastic. Public comment period ends on Wednesday8/9/2007 at 5:00 pm, and your comments are vital to winning a more pedestrian-friendly and attractive sign plan. The new hospital tower (taller than the current one) and the Medical Office Building now under construction would both have “skyline facade signs” on all four sides. The internally lit letters and logo would be 60 ft long by 6’10” high on the hospital, and 48 ft long by 5’7" on the MOB. These would be visible and intrusive from many points in the residential neighborhood. Many other signs would be 8'6" tall by 3'9" wide, set on or next to the sidewalks.
You can read the PANIL letter regarding new Kaiser signage here.

Is Scott Gregory paid directly by Kaiser or is he representing the city and its citizens as we have been repeatedly assured? Is construction starting before design review approval?
